Lieutenant Colonel Victor Simukonda is a Historian, Strategist, and leadership enthusiast. He goes by the alias Victor Simz The Z Historian on YouTube, where he shares powerful insights on Zambian and African history and the untold stories that have shaped the past and present.

He holds a diploma in Defence and Security Studies (UNZA), a bachelor's degree in History (UNZA), a master's degree in Peace and Conflict Studies (CBU), and a master's degree in Military Art and Science with a focus on African strategic studies (USA). 

He is a distinguished graduate of the Defence Services Command and Staff College (Zambia), Le Centre d'Instruction au Français de Rochefort (France), and the Command and General Staff College (USA).

He has operational experience with the United Nations and has authored several articles and books on African military history, Civil-military Relations, and Command and leadership.
